This is a cooperative tool for recording and discussing "TO DO" items for the Python language and implementation. Entries are grouped by categories such as "major language design", "documentation" and "Windows port".
There are no priorities assigned to items, nor is there an indication of how much work an item would be, or even whether the item is desirable at all. Some items are user wishes that are impossible to fulfill or would break other things. The discussion under an item may indicate this.
The main purpose of this list is to make people aware of potentially interesting projects they could work on. For this reason, if you start working on any item, please edit the text to indicate this -- and add your email.
A complete revision history of each item is maintained through RCS (and accessible through this web interface).
Editing tips: When editing an entry, you can only commit if you have filled in all fields: title, text, reason for change, your name, and your email. The password is empty so you should leave that field blank. If you have "cookies" enabled in your browser (most people do) your name and email will be remembered for 30 days between sessions.
