Welcome to Rainier Bows' home page. Rainier Bows offers you the combined results of 37 years of bow hunting and bow building, with lots of experimenting in design shapes and limb corewoods. While no performance bow is totally free of hand shock, with our bows you will feel very low to no hand shock (depending on bow model and poundage). Our bows deliver arrow speeds equal to, and is some cases greater than, bows offered elsewhere.
All bows are tested using cedarwood arrows (50 grains above AMO), drawn to 29 1/2" (my draw length) with 3 finger glove and released off the shelf. We believe this gives a realistic representation of bow performance in a hunting situation. Rainier Bows are offered in four models (models #5,6,7,8) with various options. Model # 1 and 2 have been discontinued. Models 3 and 4 are being redesigned and tested. Glass choices of black, brown, white, clear (option fee). Risers are offered in a single wood type or blended woods (most bow risers come with phenolic reinforcement). All bows are fast flight acceptable, and come with a BCY 450 string. Limb core woods: Maple, Black Locust, Honey Locust, Cherry, Bocote, Goncalo-Alves, Walnut, Red Elm, Bubinga, Tulipwood, Juniper, Yew, and Bamboo. Other woods can be used when available. Riser woods: Cherry, Black Locust, Verawood, Bubinga, Grandillo, Osage, Purple Heart, Bocote, Cocobolo, Wedge, Canarywood, Tulipwood, Goncalo-Alves, Zebrawood. Other woods available upon request.
