You can use Typhon on any Unix system that is
derived from System V Unix, BSD Unix or Linux.
The system must have either the Korn shell
(ksh - 1988, 1993 versions supported), the desktop Korn shell (dtksh -
all versions supported) or the public-domain
Korn shell (pdksh - version 5.2.14 or higher supported).
(We recommend using the 1993 Korn shell, which can be
downloaded for free, or dtksh.) The Professional
Edition and Demo Edition of Typhon will also run on
Windows 2000, NT, 98 or 95 in conjunction with
UWin,
AT&T Research's Unix for Windows product.
Although most of Typhon is written in the Korn shell, there
are a few Perl programs. Version 5 of Perl is supported.
