Basic tips and suggestion on what weapon to bring
for what. Check out the Weapons Section for
some information and specs on all of the weapons.

Pistols Pistols
are most commonly used when your out of ammo for your primary weapon or simply want
an alternative weapon. If you want a powerful pistol choose the .50 Desert
Eagle. You can also choose the .357 Desert Eagle, which has less power,
but more bullets per magazine. If you need a silenced alternative weapon,
pick a .45 USP SD to do some damage. Back

Sub Machine Guns
MP5 A4 |

| While the MP5-A4 is a good gun for short range, it doesn't have anything that makes it stand out from the other submachine guns. You shouldn't take it, as the other guns are more effective at different things. What makes this gun stand out, though, is
it's 3 round burst. |
MP5 SD5 |

| The MP5-SD5 has no real use.
It
is simply a silenced version of the A4. The MP5/10SD is a more
superior weapon. |
MP5 / 10A2 |

| The MP5-10A2 is the second-best submachine gun in the game. If you're looking for more stopping power than the PDW and are prepared to trade a little reticule speed and such, bring this gun. |
MP5K-PDW |

| The MP5K-PDW is perhaps the best short-range gun in the game. Its combination of reticule speed, rate of fire, and low recoil make it deadly at close quarters. However, at long range its accuracy and damage suffer greatly. Bottom line: If you want a gun for short range action bring this. |
UMP 45 |

| While the UMP-45 has the increased power of the .45 calibre round, it also has several glaring problems. The magazine contains only 25 rounds, the rate of fire is extremely low, and it suffers from increased recoil. There are better guns out there. |
UMP 45SD |

| The UMP-45SD has the same problems as its unsilenced relative, making it a poor choice. |
Skorpion |

| The Skorpion has one of the best reticules in the game, but also several drawbacks. Despite its calibre the gun does pathetically little damage, and the small ammo capacity means you'll have to go for the head every time. |
UZI |

| The Uzi is a bit more effective than the Skorpion, as the 32 round magazine and high rate of fire lets you put as many rounds into somebody at close range as you need. The reticule is also almost as good as the Skorpion's. Although they are similar on paper the Uzi seems more effective in use. |

Assault
Rifles
AK-47 |

| The AK-47 is a heavy gun with a slow
reticule but does descent damage. The AK-74 comes with 5 mags, as opposed to the AK-47's 4, but does a little less damage. |

Enfield L85A1 |

| The Enfield's reticule is a little slower than the Aug's, but it has several favorable tradeoffs. It comes with a 3 round burst for those who have trouble with full automatic. Also, it does a little more damage than the Aug. |
HK G3A3 |

| The G3A3 is comparable to the M14, with only a few differences. The M14 seems to have a slightly higher rate of fire, and does a little more damage. |
HK G36K |

| The G36K is a descent gun, but not extraordinary. While it has no features to make it stand out, the annoying 2-stage zoom takes it down a notch. But it does have a descent
reticule and accuracy. |
M14 |

| The M-14 is a powerful weapon at long range, but in close it suffers from a slow reticule and small magazine. If you want to bring it for a sniper role you should also bring a Desert Eagle just in case you get rushed. |
M-16A2 |

| The M16A2 is yet another option if you might need to snipe and assault. It has 10 more rounds per mag than the M14 and G3A3, but does less damage. Also, the gun only has single and 3 round burst, severely limiting its usefulness in a CQB situation |
M4 Carbine |

| The M4 has the worst reticule, but does the most damage. If you constantly find yourself up close with an enemy you may want to consider this weapon. Pointing in their general direction and spraying at point-blank range is very effective. |
Steyr Aug |

| The Steyr Aug has the quickest reticule of the group. If you control your fire into short bursts you can fire an almost-continuous stream of accurate fire. This gun seems to do a little less damage than the others however, and some have complained about its sniper-style reticule blocking their view. |

Sniper
Rifles
Barrett M81A1 |

| The Barrett does the most damage of any gun in the game. It has a disgustingly slow reticule, but can punch through any armor with ease. Take it where you need shots from extreme distances. |
Dragunov |

| The Dragunov's reticule is only a little slower than the Walther's, but that is balanced by its better accuracy and power. This seems to be the best rifle for any role, short range or long. |
PSG-1 |

| The PSG-1 has a faster reticule and the
reticule retains perfection quicker after a round is fired. The down part
to the PSG-1 is it's low ammo capacity per magazine. |
Walther WA2000 |

| The Walther has the fastest reticule of all the sniper rifles, but a little less accuracy and power at long range. If you want to snipe inside a building we suggest you take this gun. |

Shotguns
Note: There is no reason to take a shotgun, as the other types of guns are more effective overall.
Benelli M1 Tactical
12 Gauge |

| The Benelli is the shotgun to
take. It has superior accuracy and rate of fire (on single shot).
The Benelli can be equipped with slug ammo, while the SPAS-12 can't. |
SPAS-12 |

| The only thing that makes the SPAS-12
better than the Benelli is it's full-auto. But the full-auto does
come at a cost, your reticule dies, as does accuracy. |
