SGI TO DEBUT NEW LINUX PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND SOLUTIONS AT THIS YEAR'S LINUX WORLD EXPO 2000

First Hardware Accelerated OpenGL Graphics Workstation Demonstration To Be Shown On Stage in Booth #219.

SGI will debut new Linux based server solutions geared toward Internet Service Providers and technical computing professionals. SGI will also feature sneak-peek demonstrations of the industry's first hardware accelerated visual workstation that supports the OpenGL platform. In addition, SGI staff and customers will give on-stage Linux showcase presentations such as SGI's Linux developer program, Media Commerce^TM and clustering solutions, security and education programs.

Other SGI highlights at the show:

• SGI Senior Vice President of Computer Systems, Beau Vrolyk, discusses market opportunities within an Open Source model. (Thursday, Feb. 3rd, Track 1, Session 41, 12:45 p.m.)

• IBM will team with SGI in SGI's booth to demonstrate its DB2 database software, running on SGI's soon-to-be-announced Linux-based servers.
