STORE INFORMATION

Welcome to the Softpro Books web site. This site is an extension of our retail stores in Colorado and Massachusetts. While this site features over 3,000 current, in-print computer books, we carry three times as many titles in our stores. We're constantly adding new and forthcoming books, so check back with us often.

If there is something you're looking for, and you don't see it here, please contact us via email, phone, or fax. Our staff will be happy to help you.

The price and availability of computer books change on a daily basis. We update these listings almost daily, but there will always be more changes. If there is a price change on a book you've ordered, we'll contact you for confirmation before processing the order.

  • From Route 128 (also known as Interstate 95):
  • Take Exit 32B. (This is the same exit you would take to go to the Burlington Mall.)
  • Turn right onto the Middlesex Turnpike and drive past the Burlington Mall.
  • Approximately 1/2 mile from Rt. 128, you will see a Tower Records on the right.
  • Turn right into the driveway by Tower and continue ~100 yards to the next parking lot

    The # 350 MBTA bus (Alewife-Burlington Mall) stops at the Burlington Mall (Macy's) and on Mall Road across from the Vinebrook Plaza (by Sears Auto Center). Softpro is located in the Vinebrook Plaza.

    SECURE ORDERING

    All online transactions at the Softpro Books web site are handled with industry-standard SSL encryption. When you enter your credit card number into the order form, it is transmitted across the Internet in an encrypted (scrambled) form, then decoded when it gets to us.

    If you don't find a book on the web site, please send email or give us a call. If we don't stock it, we'll be glad to special order it for you.

    PAYMENT INFORMATION

    Softpro accepts all major credit cards for web, phone, and in-store purchases. (American Express, Bravo, Diner's Club, Discover, Mastercard, Optima, and Visa), as well as purchase orders from established corporate accounts.

    SHIPPING

    We ship in-stock orders placed before 3pm EST/EDT the day we receive them. Please note that this applies to UPS shipments to US addresses, and only to business days, when UPS is operating.

    If you order a book that we need to special order for you, we'll provide you with an estimate of the time it takes to get the book to you.

    We ship virtually anywhere in the world. For destinations within the continental United States, we use UPS Ground Commercial and Residential. Cost is $5.00 for the first book and $0.50 for each additional book. These same rates apply to US Priority Mail service to APO addresses.

    Rush Shipments are available within the continental U.S. UPS Second Day Air is $15 for the first item plus $3 for each additional item. UPS Next Day Air (delivery by 10:30 a.m., noon, or end of day the next business day depending on destination) is $30 for the first item plus $5 for each additional item. UPS Next Day Air Saver (delivery by 3:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to commercial destinations within the 48 contiguous states where UPS Next Day Air delivery is committed by 10:30 a.m. or noon, respectively; residential deliveries to UPS Next Day Air Saver destinations receive delivery by end of day) is $25 for the first item plus $5 for each additional item.

    Please note that these rates apply to virtually all our books, but there are some very heavy titles and boxed sets that will require a surcharge. We will confirm any surcharges with you prior to shipping. Also, there are areas to which UPS does not offer Next Day Air Saver Service. We will contact you as soon as possible to arrange alternate service if this applies to your address.

    We're now offering same-day courier service within the Eastern Massachusetts and the Denver/Boulder areas. Please call us for pricing.

    International Shipments are sent via U.S. Express Mail. Prices vary according to shipment weight. The average cost is approximately $30.00 for one book and $8.00 for each additional book. Shipments generally arrive within 3-6 business days, barring customs delays. Please note that we require your approval of shipping costs before we can process your order. We will contact you via email for confirmation of the final shipping costs. To avoid delays, please be sure to include a valid email address on the order form.

    RETURN POLICY

    If the book you receive isn’t what you’d hoped for, you may return it for a refund or store credit within 7 days, in new condition with any enclosed CDs, diskettes, or software unopened. If you need to return your purchase, please contact Softpro via phone or email. Reference the purchase date, invoice/packing slip number, and salesperson number. Please note that shipping and handling costs are not refundable.
