The new REX PRO was developed through a partnership between Starfish Software, Citizen Watch Company, and Franklin Electronic Publishers. Now marketed by Xircom, REX PRO is the follow-on product to the original REX, the highly successful Connected Information Device introduced in 1997. REX PRO offers all of the features enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of REX users: fast access to critical contact and scheduling information, long battery life, superior screen resolution and single-click TrueSync synchronization among today's popular software organizers.
While keeping all the popular features of REX, new REX PRO provides users with the ability to add, edit, and modify data directly on the REX PRO device using Starfish's revolutionary SuperKey® Light Data Entry System. REX PRO also provides full two-way synchronization of Calendars, Contacts, To Do's and Memos. In addition, REX PRO's storage capacity has doubled, now holding approximately 6000 records.

- Light Data Entry and Editing: Without changing the form factor, screen clarity, battery life or ease of use, REX PRO now features the ability to add, edit, and modify data. Starfish developed the SuperKey® Light Data Entry System specifically to meet the challenges of data entry on a credit-card-size device. The SuperKey Light Data Entry System is a technology breakthrough which allows users to input data on the REX PRO device using context-sensitive menus, intelligent QuickLists and an intuitive user interface.
- More Memory: REX PRO features 512K RAM and can store approximately 6000 records.
- Direct Synchronization: Users can now synchronize directly from their organizer software without importing. REX PRO includes a software bundle of TrueSync® Plus for REX that directly supports Outlook 97/98, ACT! 4.x and 3.0.x, Lotus Organizer 97/97GS, Schedule+ and Sidekick 98 and Sidekick 99.
- Easy to Use: REX PRO features a six-button control panel for one-handed operation of the device. The simple icon driven menus allow for fast navigation and easy access to critical organizer information.
- Suite of Organizer Applications: REX PRO offers complete access to vital business information: Names, Addresses, Phone Numbers, Appointments, Memos and To Do items. REX PRO also includes a Home Clock and World Clock with alarms so users can easily switch appointments to their local time zone.
- Long Battery Life: REX PRO is powered by two lithium batteries that run for up to six months with normal use.
