Kirby is Back!!!

• The fun-looving pink puffball will finally see some action!!!. And no, it's not in Kirby's Air Ride; that game fell into the void know as development hell. Instead of a mascot racer, N64 owners will get a platformer. Plus, even though it's 3D, gameplay is strictly 2D heaven from days of yore. Will this new game stack up to old-school platformers, or will it bomb?

  The Japanese release should be sometime next year. That's a little broad, but until a more concrete date is set, check out these screens:

Since I was blessed with being here on TNL, it's my humble duty to provide some N64 news and reviews. The reviews...well, I'm working on them, but as for news, here's something nice. Zelda: Gaiden shots. BTW, if you haven't heard, Miyamoto hasn't played a big role in the development of this game. Nevertheless, Gaiden is slated for a November 23, 2000 release in Japan.

Beware of the E.G.G.s...

• Elemental Gimmick Gearbolt (E.G.G.) is coming to the US. Made by Hudson Soft, this RPG has been picked up by Vatical Entertainment. There's no release date yet, but with no speech to be hacked...erm, translated, localization shouldn't take too long.
