SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
MANDATORY
* Email the following information to the editor: Name, Business or Band Name, Printable Contact Information
(Address & Phone Number of Business, Web Site, Email)
* Specify if you are located in the Twin Cities. There is a directory for
Twin Cities independents.
MUSICIANS/LABELS
* You must be an independent artist in order to submit your band for review or to be listed
in the Independent Issue. This means that you are not currently on any record label.
* Independent record labels may submit their name for listing, but may not be a subsidiary
of any major label.
* Enclose your bio in the text of the email transmission - or attach the bio
as a Word document and send photos as a Photoshop document
(please make them 400 pixels wide or less). Request an address in which to send your demo
or CD, or, if you have sound clips on a web site, specify and include your URL.
BUSINESSES
* You must be an independent proprietor in order to submit your business for
review or to be listed in the Independent Issue. This means that you are an
active participant in your business and are not a corporation or chain.
* Please specify if there is something noteworthy about your business, or, if there is a special
event on the horizon that you would like publicized (include dates and times).
* To send a photo of the shop or samples of work, enclose your photo as a Photoshop document
in your email transmission. For samples that are be sound oriented or if you don't have the
means for sending information electronically, you may request an to address which
your materials can be sent.
