December 1998 1998-12-30 Check out the new Dock App War ehouse which catalogues every dockapp and where to get it. It looks like a lot of effort went in to make a great site. Well done, Ben! 1998-12-21 Alfredo has created a patch to 0.20.3 that all ows for a new type of pixmap+gradient+opaqueness effect. It will tile a texture pixmap and merge it with a gradient, using an arbitrary opaqueness. To quote Alfredo "This effect can't be accomplished with traditional tiling or scaling pix maps and is pretty cool, IMO :)" 1998-12-03 The developers have graced us with the infamous 0.20.3 release, after going through about three alpha pre-releases. Let us count our blessings, and read the ChangeLog for more information. 1998-12-02 Well, as you can see the new official logo has been put in place, and the logo contest is officially over. October 1998 1998-10-23 Woohoo! 0.20.2 is now OUT! As always, lots of bug fixes in this release. Skimming through the ChangeLog, we find we have added support for persistent clie nt supplied icon pixmaps, smoother icon selection, more features in wxcopy/wxpaste new XDE support, and a lot of other cool things. Get it. Compile it. Run it. Life is good :) 1998-10-16 Ok.. a few quick updates. As you can see there's a new logo up. For the moment it's temporary, but we have OctobrX to thank for it. Read up on the logo contest, as the voting scripts should be available relatively soon. A couple of new dock apps have been listed in the projects section, and a new Gnome+Wmaker link was added to the links section.

September 1998 1998-09-29 Window Maker 0.20.1 has been released! Mainly bug fixes, but also we have a new theme included. 1998-09-25 Alfredo has officially decided to change the name to Window Maker (note the space between the words). Please refer to the window manager by that name, and update any references that refer to the old name. 1998-09-23 Window Maker 0.20.0 has been released! More than just bug fixes, we also have: incomplete multihead support, optimised dithering code, new superfluous animation, script that is called when Window Maker exits, edge resistance and runtime selectable miniaturization animation. 1998-09-16 Quick update regarding the WM logo contest... I'm trying to finalize some th ings with people who have expressed an interest in coding the voting app. It wi ll be straightened out shortly, and we'll get on with it. More than just bug fixes this time... let's see, we now have .GIF image support via libgif, centered pixmap texture s upport, compile time animation/miniturization selection and finished balloon tex t. Can you say awesome? 1998-09-07 Window Maker 0.19.2 has been released... again, just bug fixes boys and girls. 1998-09-03 Window Maker 0.19.1 has been released... just bug fixes boys and girls.

August 1998 1998-08-31 This just in.. Window Maker 0.19.0 released! This release includes numerous bug fixes, as well as a few new things like balloon help, and a new shade indicator for the window list. Be sure to read the ChangeLog for details. 1998-08-25 Just a note about the Window Maker Logo contest... we're starting to get subm issions and are trying to find someone that can help us with a voting script (un fortunately I don't have time to write one myself). If any of you out there wit h perl skills has some free time, drop the webmaster an E-mail. OctobrX wrote in to say that the Window Maker themes page now has over 201 th emes for everyone's enjoyment. Also, in case everyone didn't notice, Bishop has taken over the themes page once again.. woohoo spiffy. :) 1998-08-23 The links page is back up... I didn't get time tonight to finish it all, and I'll be adding WM user pages and links to updated libraries soon. 1998-08-22 The Window Maker Bug Tracker is now online. This is a test to see if making things obvious really does get people's attention. :) 1998-08-18 Window Maker 0.18.1 has been released! Fixes minor bugs, such as the beveling of pixmap/gradient textures, titlebar mouse bindings, proplist menus, etc. 1998-08-17 Window Maker 0.18.0 has been released! July 1998 1998-07-25 Window Maker 0.17.5 has been released! This is a maintenance release which fixes the bug in the titlebar when closing a transient of an unfocusable window. It also fixes the attribute editor crash bug when clicking the save button. 1998-07-22 0.17.3 has been released! Read the ChangeLog for what's new. 1998-07-20 Alfredo has released 0.17.2 which fixes some bugs, including a few libPropList issues. 1998-07-19 Due to a few compile problems in 0.17.0 for non-Linux machines, Alfredo has released a patch which should fix them. 0.17.1 is now the latest version. 1998-07-19 0.17.0 has been released! June 1998 1998-06-13 Window Maker themes updated! Not all of the themes have been totally fixed. But about 80%! If you have a theme you want posted, please let Guyver or Bishop know. 1998-06-03 Alfredo Kojima has returned and is now back to developing Window Maker! Welcome back, Alfredo!
