A Web server companion for making PDF files more accessible
Adobe Document Server software is an easy-to-implement, server-based tool that lets users view Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files within a Web browser, without requiring Adobe Acrobat® Reader or other client software. It converts PDF documents into GIF or JPEG images and displays them in the browser along with a toolbar for easily navigating and searching the documents. Adobe Document Server also lets you make PDF content accessible to the visually impaired by enabling users to convert PDF files into HTML text that can be interpreted by conventional screen-reading software. And because it works with all browsers and operating systems, you can be sure that anyone, anywhere can view and navigate your PDF documents - no Reader software required.
