What is Adobe GoLive 4.0?
Adobe® GoLive™ 4.0 is a new, cross-platform version of the award-winning professional Web design and publishing tool formerly known as GoLive CyberStudio Professional Edition and originally developed by GoLive Systems, Inc. (Adobe acquired GoLive CyberStudio from GoLive Systems in January 1999.) GoLive 4.0 enables professional Web designers to create, produce, and maintain dynamic Web sites.

What is new in version 4.0?
Adobe GoLive 4.0 delivers a host of new features and enhancements that will increase productivity and give Web users the power to build and maintain sophisticated new media. These include:

Can customers purchase Adobe GoLive over the Web?
Yes. GoLive is available on CD-ROM or for download from the Adobe Web site. Customers may buy the CD-ROM for Macintosh or Windows as a full package (US$299) or an upgrade (US$99). Customers who choose to download the software from Adobe.com can purchase the Macintosh upgrade for US$69, or the full product for Macintosh or Windows for US$275.99. Adobe also sells GoLive through the same channels as its other professional graphics applications.

Will Adobe offer e-mail support?
Adobe will offer e-mail support for new customers as part of their CustomerFirst® contract. Existing CyberStudio customers who upgrade to GoLive 4.0 will receive e-mail support as part of their complimentary support policy (ending February 29, 2000).

How will Adobe handle technical and customer support for GoLive products?
Adobe GoLive customers will receive technical support consistent with Adobe's current policies for Level II products (Photoshop, PageMaker®, etc.), which include 90 days of technical support for first-time purchases. In order to smooth transition from GoLive CyberStudio's previous support policies, existing CyberStudio customers (Professional and Personal Editions) who upgrade to Adobe GoLive 4.0 will receive complimentary support through February 29, 2000. CyberStudio customers in the U.S and Canada who do not upgrade to GoLive 4.0 will receive complimentary support until June 30, 1999.

CustomerFirst contracts are available to all Adobe GoLive customers. A CustomerFirst contract provides unlimited support for one year for US$149. Complimentary support for all Adobe customers includes the Technical Support Database, which can be queried from Adobe.com, User to User Forums, and third-party listservers informally monitored by Adobe employees.
