What is CompuBank? Headquartered in Houston, Texas, CompuBank is the first virtual National Bank to receive a charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and approval from the Federal Insurance Deposit Corporation (FDIC). National banks were created to instill public confidence, and by receiving a national charter, CompuBank has demonstrated it ensures sound banking practices and has met a stricter set of regulatory requirements put forth by the Federal Government and the OCC. How does the CompuBank Affiliate Program work? Read the CompuBank Affiliate Program Operating Agreement. Sign Up: Fill out a brief online application form. After you've been approved, you'll receive an e-mail with a user ID and password so that you can login to the affiliate home page and access CompuBank links or banners. Start Building Your Links: Get started by adding a CompuBank link to your home page and earn a referral fee for each of your visitors who becomes a CompuBank customer. 3. No, it's optional but we encourage you to do so because of the extra benefits you'll get including direct payment in your account and participation in eCommCenter. 5. How much will I be paid? CompuBank considers its affiliate members to be true partners. Thus, we have committed to reward our affiliates generously. CompuBank will pay you a $20.00 referral fee for each visitor who clicks through from your site to ours and opens an account with the bank as a result. 6. Does it cost anything to become a CompuBank Affiliate? There are no fees to participate in the CompuBank Affiliate Program. There is no charge to apply and no minimum sales requirement. 7. Does my Web site qualify for the CompuBank Affiliate Program? Most Web sites will qualify to participate in the program. However, we may reject Web sites that we determine are unsuitable. Examples of sites that would NOT qualify for participation include: Sites that promote sexually explicit material; Sites that promote violence; Sites that promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, physical disability, sexual orientation, or age; Sites that promote illegal activities; Sites that violate intellectual property rights. Sites that promote gambling and casinos. 8. Where can I find CompuBank's banners to implement the links? Use your User ID and Password to login on the affiliate homepage. You will find detailed instructions on how to set up a variety of links. We have several banners with different messages and styles. The process is simple and we provide support if you need help in setting up the links. Place the links in several pages of your site and above the fold for the best results. 9. I tried but could not install the CompuBank links to my site - will you help me? Yes. While we have tried to make the linking method as simple as possible, we recognize that it is in your interest and ours to make sure that the link to CompuBank is working efficiently and that the link is placed and promoted in the best possible way. Can I participate in the CompuBank Affiliate Program if I live outside the USA? At present, you must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. 11. How and when do I get paid? Affiliates who elect to open a CompuBank account will receive payment of their referral fees directly into their CompuBank account within approximately 30 days following the end of each month. Fees paid monthly will include all accounts, which were eligible for a referral fee during the preceding month. Affiliates who do not elect to open a bank account with CompuBank will be paid on a quarterly basis. Approximately 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31) we will send you a check for the referral fees on earned referrals for the preceding three month period. 12. How does CompuBank track new accounts coming from my Web site? An affiliate ID is assigned to each account. Links from affiliates' Web sites to CompuBank use a special format that includes this code. Every time a customer follows one of those links to our site, this unique URL tells us which affiliate account sent the customer to us. When you login with your password, you will see that our banners and links have your own tracking code already included in the URL. 13. Where is the online report? You must login to view your online report. The online reporting feature enables affiliates to view on a monthly basis how many visitors to their web site have linked to CompuBank and opened an account during their visit. 14. Will CompuBank let me remain an affiliate if my Web site generates only a few referrals each year? Yes. Unlike many other affiliate programs, we do not require our affiliates to meet referrals/sales quotas. 15. How do I change my affiliate account information? If you wish to make any corrections to the information you sent us, please DO NOT submit a second application. Instead, send a short message containing the changes to: affiliatemgr@compubank.com. 16. In general, a merchant or service provider must meet at least both of these two conditions to be on eCommCenter: 1. be a CompuBank affiliate and 2. have an active CompuBank account.
