Hey guys,
This is my last Apollo Pro 133 review in the series for now so go read about Transcend's TS-AVD1. Hopefully out of the three boards that have been reviewed, one will suit your needs best. Transcend is one of the companies that has produced quality products in the past but is a very small name.
Soon, we're going to move towards reviewing 133A's and also should be upgrading the test beds to go along with this. I've got a bunch of work to do thanks to the end of the semester crunch so, enjoy and goodnight!
AnandTech's second Athlon motherboard review is now up. The long awaited, but disappointing, FIC SD-11 is under the microscope today.
Coming soon: more Comdex coverage, including motherboards, chipsets, multimedia, and just about anything else that caught our eye while in Vegas.
If you've got a couple days off for Thanksgiving, enjoy the four day weekend. For me, yesterday was my only day off because I have just too many things coming up next week, so it's back to work.
On behalf of myself and everyone at AnandTech, I'd like to wish you all a very happy thanksgiving. Enjoy this day and spend it with your family and loved ones (your computers are not considered loved ones) and take a moment to reflect back on what you are truly thankful for.
What am I thankful for? The chance that you, AnandTech's readers, have given me to run this site -- a job I love doing. Thanks for the 2+ years of support, for the 2+ years of emails, and the 2+ years of the opportunity I'll never take for granted. Thank you all.
You'll start seeing articles pop back up starting Friday, but for now, take care and have a wonderful day.
I've got a ton of school work to finish up courtesy of my week long escapade off in Vegas so I'll be pretty busy for the next two days. I went out to see the new bond movie The World is not Enough on Friday with a group of friends. I really enjoyed the movie but I really thought that the villain could have been much more than he was. Overall, I liked it better than Tomorrow Never Dies which I thought wasn't too bad either. In any case, let's get to some of the stuff we've posted:
Last Thursday I posted my review
of the S3 Savage 2000. So take a look at that if you are interested
in the only next-gen competitor to the GeForce.
Later this week I'll have a lot of information about the
motherboard industry, including the other side of the Athlon motherboard
story. But for now, it's back to work, I just thought I'd give you all a
heads up.
