QuickTime Text Track

Deleting tracks is similiar to Extracting tracks. However, unlike extracting tracks, deleting tracks does not create a new file as extracting tracks does.

Deleting a Text Track:

1.  Begin by opening the movie you wish to extract the track from. From QuickTime Players Edit menu option, select 'Delete Tracks...' The following dialog box will appear:

Features:
Creating a Text Track
Creating HREF Tracks
Creating Chapter Tracks

Functionality:
Importing a Text Track
Exporting a Text Track
Extracting a Text Track
Deleting a Text Track
Searching A Text Track
Enabling a Text Track

Modifying:
Using Time Stamps
Using Text Descriptors

2.  Simply choose the 'Delete' button and the track will disappear.

3.  Deleting the track and saving will not decrease the size of the file. You will need to select 'Save as...' from the File menu and resave the file.

TIP
If the movie has more than one track, you can select multiple tracks to delete. Both Mac OS and Windows users can hold the Shift key down while selecting the desired tracks with the mouse.
