BashPrompt Home Page

The goal of BashPrompt is to allow users to share thier prompt styles. If you like your prompt, and would like others to try it, skip to the bottom of this page.

This is a PRERELEASE of the new THEMEABLE version of bashprompt. There are a number of changes from the old release, it works very diffrently than it did before. If you used the old one, you may want to take a peek at the changelog.

Development is Back ON!

Ok, if you have a prompt you like, you can upload it to ftp://bash.current.nu/incoming/ to get linked from here. All prompts that are not written in the "theme style" will NOT be used, so read the how-to linked on the developer page first!
WE NEED PEOPLE! At the moment this is a very simple project, and involves only shell scripting, but may involve perl in the future. What it takes is time, which we all currently don't seem to have, and if you have the time to put in, I am sure out would turn out to be one of the major contributers even if you just want to get your feet wet and learn. If you know shell scripting or perl well, your will REALLY help us!
