Review Schedule Updated: 8th December 1999 - 20:47 PM GMT

Vacation Message:

I am on vaction from 14th of December up to 21st December. Full service will resume 3rd January 2000.

This page is designed for both readers and manufacturers / vendors for current review status on articles recieved. Articles at BXBoards go through very thorough tests, including compatibility, speed, memory stability, long-term overclocked stability and benchmarking. This is across 6 CPU's as well, including Pentium III 450, Pentium III 500, P2-300, Celeron 300a, Celeron 366, and P2-333 (for high bus speed tests). This takes times, and boards are tested for at least 2/3 weeks before I even think about the review text. We may not be the fastest, but we are thorough!

This page should hopefully show the Status of reviews as they go through the testing pipleine...

Tyan S1857-B Trinity 400 - We reviewed the BX version of this dual architecture board a few weeks ago. By popular demand, we now have the VIA PC133A version with AGP 4x too.

Review Status : Pending

Soyo SY-6VA133 (VIA PC133) - My review sample has been recalled by Soyo due to an incompatibility I discovered with various Socket 370->Slot1 convertors. Thi is a fault with my review board only!

Here's a snippet from the recall mail:

"Sorry for the late reaction, but we had to check in Taiwan about the problem that you had with the SY-6VBA133 and I had a holiday for a week. In the mean time I have the answer to your problem, but it cannot be solved with just a new BIOS. What I would like to propose is that you send the sample that you have back to us and I will make sure that you receive a sample back as soon as possible."

Review Status : Pending. New Sampled arrived.

Abit BF6: The board I received was a very early version and appeared DOA. I finally revived it, but its got major problems, including a failure to detect any hard drives if more than one is connected. The BIOS is also dated May 1999 Evalution BIOS and has Softmenu II not Softmenu III! BXBoards don't review pre-release hardware.

Review Status : AWAITING NEW SAMPLE

AOpen MX64 - Some benchmarks done but AGP 4x does not seem to work with any TNT/2 cards that should run at AGP 4x on an appropriate board. Awaiting new BIOS from AOpen. Seems to run the Coppermine 550E stable at 733Mhz. 48 hours of Prime95 testing, and 24 hours of Quake2 massive demo so far. Looking good! Latest: Regarding the AGP4x issue, here's a snippet from the e-mail "VIA will fix this problem by changing the chipset's version from CD to CE."

Review Status : ON HOLD

Iwill VD133 - Coppermine benchmarks run. Seems a bit faster than i810E boards, but a lot slower than a BX so far...

Review Status : Benchmarking

Shuttle AV61 (PC133) VD133 - Some benchmarks and compatibility testing done.

Review Status : Uncertain. Will probably cancel this review in favour of AGP 4x boards.

DFI PW65-E - Intel i810-E mainboard. Some testing done. This board will appear in an i810-E round-up.

Review Status: Pending

Elitegroup P6IWT-A+ - Intel i810-E mainboard. Some testing done. This board will appear in an i810-E round-up.

Review Status: Pending
