ALLVUE is a multiple image viewer and image file manager
created to help you easily and quickly view, examine, sort,
search,
locate, move, and print multiple image files at once.
ALLVUE displays fifteen image files at once and it does so
while displaying
multiple file-types simultaneously. You can scroll forward
or backwards through
hundreds or thousands of image files in fifteen image
increments with a single
click. Copy, rename, delete, print, and more — ALLVUE
provides complete
image-file management control at the click of your mouse.
You can choose to
work on screen or print pages of fifteen images at a time
(in color if you have a
color printer) to work off-line. For each image, you can
choose to display file
name, image width and height, the number of colors, last
date modified or the
size of the file in bytes. And by just clicking on an image,
ALLVUE will zoom in
to make it fill the ALLVUE window (or the entire screen if
you prefer) so that
you can examine the image in full or super size and see
every detail.
Whenever you use ALLVUE, you see all the image files in
whatever directory
you select. There is no need to update a thumbnail database
because THERE IS
NO DATABASE. ALLVUE actually loads them in quickly at run
time. Your
directory is your database and is totally under YOUR
control. As a result, you
also don't use any disk space that thumbnail databases take.
And that's really good
because the same users that have many image files using up
disk space don't want
to use up the remaining precious space for duplication of
those images in a
database.
This version adds the ability to mirror and flip the image
in zoom mode and
allows mirror, flip, and rotate to determine image
orientation when right-click
printing. This is particularly useful to those with
digitized photos and those using
graphic images for design. V2.1 also allows the user to view
images larger than
the screen, such as digitally scanned documents and adds an
additional way to
print all fifteen Multi-View images.
And if you right-click on an image and then click on OPEN,
ALLVUE will start
whatever image editor you've associated with that file-type
and load the image
into the editor. When you're done making your changes, just
save the image, click
on "File/Refresh", and ALLVUE will update its window
complete with the
changes to the image you've edited. Because ALLVUE launches
editors by file
association, you can use a different editor for each
file-type or in whatever
combination that works for you and the work you do.
