What's New in Development Tools
General Software's Embedded BIOS* firmware is shipping as a pre-installed BIOS for the Pentium II Processor - Low Power Evaluation Kit. General Software's BIOS adaptation kit provides the highest level of configurability, performance and functionality for the Pentium II Processor - Low Power.

CAD-UL is optimizing their native and cross compilers, assemblers, and debuggers for the Pentium II processors, to be integrated into their IDE called Workbench*.

Applied Microsystems has developed complete debug and test solutions for the Pentium II processors, including the popular CodeTAP* emulator and CodeTEST* software test and analysis suite.

Cygnus Solutions announced its GNUPro* software development technology will be optimized for Celeron and Pentium II processors.

NewMonics Inc. is working cooperatively with Intel Corporation to port and optimize its PERC* Virtual Machine, Compilers and JDK 1.1 Libraries to the Intel architecture. NewMonics will feature Intel Pentium II processor and Celeron processor as the leading platforms for Embedded PERC.
