The holidays: that magical time of the year when city streets are filled with the sounds of good cheer. The holidays: that blissful period when every store is filled with bright paper and the smell hot apple cider. The holidays: that spiritual interlude in our daily lives when the thoughts of every woman and man turns to the ideals of peace and love. The holidays: a perfect excuse to try and convince the people near you to buy the hottest games on the market!
Lets be honest, the last two months of the year are typically filled with crowded shopping malls, screaming children, nasty weather, and hours spent with relatives you hardly know. One of the few perks of the season is the opportunity to give and receive the latest and greatest computer games available. Game developers and publishers target the fourth quarter of the year for the biggest and baddest titles for the PC and Console.
With so many games available, it may be difficult to sort through them and find the perfect choice for the gamer on your shopping list. Dont worry! GameSpy.com is here to provide you with the skinny on the deluge of new games, as well as point a few that you may have missed during the year.
The GameSpy.com Holiday Shopping Guide provides a handful of the best games for each game genre. Every other day for the next two weeks or so, we'll be posting guides on what you should be looking for in every genre, as well as info on console selections, and general "gamer's goodies". Sit back, grab a cup of hot chocolate, relax, and let GameSpy show you the way.
Stop back every two days (except for the last one, which is one day. Hey... we're GameSpy. We're supposed to be crazy like that), and check out the next part of the series!
