Using the Stealth Serial Port
The Stealth Serial Port operates exactly like a standard serial port on any other Macintosh. Your Blue Power Mac G3 now thinks that it has a serial port. Depending on the application, there are two ways that the Stealth Serial Port is enabled:
- For uses that require the Comm Toolbox, just select the Stealth Serial Port. This includes Palm Pilot connection kit 2.0, most communications programs, and many print drivers.
- For other uses that dont require the Comm Toolbox, just select the Modem port. This includes the AppleTalk control panel, Modem control panel, Opcode Music System (OMS), and older style print drivers.
