One of the key ingredients that makes this community thrive is the exchange of
ideas between the membership and Yahoo! GeoCities. We recently released the
Ad Square with great success, but a few Homesteaders suggested we bring back
the option to choose between the GeoGuide and the Ad Square. We agree that you
should have a choice.
The GeoGuide will once again serve advertiser banners along with member
banners. Placing a GeoGuide on your page will stop both the Ad Square and
Pop-Ups. Customizable features such as "Sign My Guestbook" and "Send
This Page" will be integrated into the Ad Square, however you'll still
be able to choose the background color and banner rating for the
GeoGuide's Banner Exchange.

How do I submit my banner to the Yahoo! GeoCities Banner Exchange?
Simply upload your banner to your Homestead and submit it to be reviewed. Please note that your banner must comply with our Terms of Service in order to appear in the Member Banner Exchange program.
Can I remove the GeoGuide?
Yes. The GeoGuide is not mandatory, so you may remove it if you wish. If you
are a PageBuilder user, simply delete the GeoGuide and save your page again.
If you use Advanced Editor, simply remove the <!--#geoguide--> from the HTML
of your page. If you remove the GeoGuide, your page will serve ads through the
Ad Square.
What happened to all the links on the GeoGuide?
Customizable features such as "Sign My Guestbook" and "Send This Page" have been integrated into the Ad Square.
