To the numerous
artists who call it home, the colony of Tashai is a place of great inspiration. Nestled on
a small island in a sheltered oceanic cove, the colony has idyllic weather throughout the
year, and the scenic views of the sea never cease to amaze visitors. Ewan Welke, the
greatest living bard of our time, has spent many years at the retreat composing poetry in
an ancient form known as haiku. In fact, it was his now well-known verse that gave the
colony its name, Zephyr Cove.

Patch has players seeing red
We have become aware of a problem with Starcraft and Brood War patch 1.06 that causes the
latency bar in any game listed on the join game screen to incorrectly display as all red.
If you join a game the latency indicated within the chatroom is correct. We are working on
correcting this and will be addressing it as soon as possible.

Starcraft and Brood War patch 1.06 now available
This patch adds new functionality to the Battle.net interface that was required to make
Starcraft compatible with Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition. For more information on the PC
Patch go here.
The Mac Patch will be available later.

Starcraft Masters '99 Winners Announced
From a field of over 1100 participants, the top 64 singles players and the top 42
three-man teams competed for the title of Starcraft Master in this Korean tournament. Held
at the Radisson Seoul Plaza Hotel, the 13 hour event saw finalists matched up in a
single-elimination tournament. The event was held amidst festivities and other open gaming
events with over 1200 spectators and participants. The top prize winners are listed below:
