RF Converter (Mad Catz)

Mad Catz brings you the most electrifying piece of N64 hardware yet manufactured.

February 18, 1999

As you are no doubt completely aware, the Nintendo 64 only ships with an A/V input connector. This poses a problem for gamers with older TVs that cannot connect the N64 into the RF socket. Well there is an easier solution than buying a new TV thanks to an accessory from Mad Catz.

Rather than calling the peripheral the "Hyper-Turbo-Charged Multi-Socket-Television-Enhancer,: MadCatz used a less marketable title: RF Converter for Nintendo 64. That's exactly what it does -- it converts the N64 signal to RF for input through an RF connection. You can also automatically switch between your TV and your Nintendo 64.

Oh yes, and if you already have a Nintendo 64 and only an old TV with which to play on and you are reading this review, then God help you -- just go and buy this and start playing games, you git!
