N64 > news > story   Don't Talk, Just Jam Acclaim let's their hoop game do the talking in their latest TV spot. Watch it here. November 3, 1999 We don't know how much Chris Webber is getting paid to appear in Acclaim's TV spot for NBA Jam 2000, but the eight, count them, eight words he speaks must have been worth it. Right now there's a discrepancy over whether or not the gratuitous ball slap in the beginning counts as a word. It's powerful, and there's meaning behind it, but is it a word? If it is, this would be a nine word monologue from the Sacramento Kings forward, eclipsing the unambiguous 8 word, 13 syllable performance from Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre in the commercial for NFL Quarterback Club 2000. Enough of this, here is the commercial. There's lots of hot in-game action from the two-on-two Jam mode and Kevin Harlan actually does a wonderful job of calling the play-by-play of the commercial.   previous |  back to top  | next   Related Stories Preview: NBA Jam 2000 Review: NFL Quarterback Club 2000 November 3, 1999 - Headlines IGN64's Dolphin FAQ Loads of FAQ updates reveal new Dolphin sound information, expected DVD announcements and more.
