Unfortunately, no one can be told what N-Query is. You have to see it for yourself.
Girly Games.
I have 2 girls 6 & 8. They both have a n64 and I am not sure what games are suitable for them. They are not into blood and guts. They have Diddy Kong Racing and Super Mario. Any suggestions about something they would enjoy and not find too hard?
Thanks!
Try Yoshi's Story, Banjo-Kazooie and Shadow Man. Well, perhaps not Shadow Man, but the rest should do you fine.
Why Dolphin?
The Nintendo Dolphin sounds great, but I have made a mistake before in
being loyal to Nintendo. The N64 was supposed to be better then the
PlayStation, but after buying the N64 I found that the PlayStation's
games are better. Sure the N64's graphics were great, but with a lack of
FMVs and way to many cartoony games, a really regretted not buying the
Playstation. Now with all these next-generation consoles coming out I
seem to be faced with the same problem, Nintendo or Sony. I would really
love to stay with Nintendo, but as it stands now it is very unlikely. Is
there a chance that you know of what types of games Nintendo plans to
make?
Ryan
Miyamoto has said in several recent interviews that Nintendo now realizes the importance of games targeted at an older audience. I think with Dolphin, and perhaps even the end days of Nintendo 64, you will see more "mature" Nintendo titles than ever before. And with the introduction of Dolphin's proprietary DVD format, third-party developers, including those who previously shied away from Nintendo 64, will be all too happy to contribute to the cause. Dolphin will offer vastly different software than the Nintendo 64 has and it will be on a greater level.
We've Got Worms.
Would it be worth buying Worms Armageddon for N64 if one already owns the computer version of the game?
Concrete Donkey
Normally I would probably say no, but in the case of Worms Armageddon I'm inclined to recommend just the opposite. It's really an extraordinary little title that works brilliantly with Nintendo 64's four controller ports for multiplayer gaming. Unless you are totally sick of the game, you should at least rent the 64-bit version, sit down with a few friends, and see if it's ultimately worth the purchase. It's definitely one of the most addictive games to hit the console ever.
Codename.
Dolphin is a stupid name and if Nintendo doesn't change it there's no way I'm gonna buy it.
It's what we like to call a "codename" actually. It won't be the system's final title, just as Ultra 64 wasn't Nintendo 64's final name. I could ramble on about this, but I won't because everybody in the world is already aware of it, and now you are too. Welcome to our club. Please, click here for a new low in television history.
Rush!
I am curious, are there any rumors of a sequel to the RUSH series on the N64 or any of the other consoles? I really liked the stunt track multiplayer action as well as the over-the-top arcade racing and reallyhope there is another in the works.
San Francisco Rush 2049 is supposedly on its way to Nintendo 64. It features new textures and brighter colors.
3DO.
Since 3D0 has forecasted big plans for the Dolphin, is it likely we may see something other than Armymen or Battletanx (you can only take so much), hopefully a Heroes of Might and Magic title?
3DO's CEO Trip Hawkins told us that a Heroes of Might and Magic title is very likely for Dolphin. At the same time, rumors of the title coming to Nintendo 64 are apparently false. 3DO has no plans to bring the game to the console at this time, according to Hawkins.
Smoking is Bad.
Um, don't you think it's a bit dangerous, the way things are today, posting a pic of a game developer SMOKING in a videogame website?
I see your point. From now on we'll stick to death and carnage, blood, guts and generally violent images. Smoking, after all, is far too "dangerous" to exploit.
Serious answer: Come on. Some people smoke. We're not promoting or glamorizing it, we're merely showing you a developer as he really was.
Baffled.
Since I couldn't find a direct e-mail for you, Matt, I decided to write you
here. Now I don't expect this to be posted on the N-Query, but I am totally
disgusted with the following question from your interview on that stupid
Doshin the Giant game or whatever. All I saw was Kurt Cobain, and for
obvious reasons (My e-mail address is NirvanaJLL@aol.com, you figure it out),
I was intrigued, but what I found was disgusting:
"IGN64: So you're saying that too much love is bad?
Iida: Yes. Exactly. (laughs) It kind of reminds me of Kurt Cobain... When your charisma grows too big, you become destructive both to your surroundings and to yourself. "
EXCUSE ME?! Neither of you have any right to judge the god known as Kurt Cobain, his meanings for his actions, or anything else pertaining to him. I'm not mad at you for making those comments, for you did not make them, but I am disgusted for you posting this flat-out SH*T! Please edit this out immediately, I find it EXTREMELY offensive!
Well done. You've won the "Baffle Matt Award of the Day." In fact, you've also managed to win the "Peer is Speechless Award of the Day" as well. We're both staring at your letter right now and neither of us have a reply. We're completely and utterly confused. Well done, lad.
Let me see what Aaron has to say about this. He's reading... One minute please.
Wow. This is a historic event. You, my friend, have just won the "My Letter Baffled an Entire Team of Editors Award." Let us all rejoice in a confused state of euphoria.
It seems images of a person smoking and references to Nirvana's dead singer are cause for jailing in today's modern society. Perhaps we should begin the burning of books, fellows.
Craig Watch '99 Update.
Was Craig's birthday really yesterday or are you just too lazy to update Craig Watch?
Bony Loser
While I'm lazy to no end, loser old pal, I told the truth yesterday when I posted that Craig was celebrating his birthday. However, today he isn't, and therefore we return with our daily coverage of the IGNpocket editor.
Much has happened since we last left off. Craig is gone. He left his humble home near IGN64's area today and moved nearly 15 feet away. He now sits next to the stuffy IGNPC crew, a bitter, selfish group that would have no cleavage in any of its games if patriot developers like Psygnosis were not around to wage an uphill battle against the potentially communist editors. Below is an image of Craig's new nest. Though the distance between us has grown considerably, we will not wave goodbye to Harris just yet. You can count on us for continuing coverage of the Pocket editor regardless of the distance that separates us.
Click here for a larger image of Craig doing nothing at his new area.
Someone else has taken over Craig's spot already, and this person seems to be particularly anal -- a direct contrast to Harris. Already this person has complained to us, asking that we turn down our music or that we kindly stop urinating on his keyboard. We'll have none of it!
As you can see below, the person sitting at Craig's new area is not Craig, nor does he look like Craig. He does not act like Craig or smell like Craig either. In fact, you could say that he and Craig are two completely different people. However, because the IGN64 team is strictly opposed to change of any kind, we will continue to acknowledge this person as Craig until the real Craig returns.
