I scorn and scoff at you all!

I said no HTML in the emails! *smile* At any rate, those of you who didn't have HTML your ICQ's posted. Those that did, were shot down like fish in a barrel. Added some spiffy screenshots sent in by Shak and Steve. I posted up Shak's glitch pic as the shot of the day because that's just pretty damn sketchy! He's got some other irregular pics in the Screenshots page.

Other than that, allow me to rant about the U v. C match. We need a recount and rematch! We all know the US won. Cheaters never prosper! After all, everyone knows vB can't count. :)

I'm holding a contest of my own! The first person to send me a screenshots of Unit92 getting capped in a gruesome, overkillish manner gets a prize yet to be determined, but rest assure, it will cost nothing and be of no resale whatsoever. Helluva prize eh? But, seriously, isn't it worth it? Send em in here. This is not a vendetta; merely an exercise in abuse of power! Bwhaha. (I heard his secret name is "Yazour!" :)

It ain't cool being no jive turkey...

Changed some coding around and came up with this once I enabled Georgia's spiffy Pic of the Day number. After breaking the #1 rule, I decided to shoot the craps and see what else I could pull. Moved the finger that doesn't point below headlines as you can see and added one of the screenshots to the pic of the day. Rule breaking always has been my attractive side.

Posted 6 new screenshots just a second ago. Great job on this so far ladies and gentlemen. Some good photos showing off some high bounties and some softcore action. Er ya. On other non-sex related news, Yazour has posted a photo album on 8025! It's a smaller than the one on Subspace.net, but it's ours nonetheless! Whee. Click here to view Yazour's amazing FP button manipulation. Come on.. you can click it.

While on the subject of jive turkeys, let's talk about the ICQ list. Here's the spiff deal: no alternate characters, and no excessive punctuation. Example would be: _-_-___r_e_d-i-u-m---_-_-. So none of that crap. If you think it violates the #3 rule, then change it. Also, avoid inserting html into your messages. I don't want to bother with Outlook because it crashes Explorer, so I use ICQ99 and it only does 99 lines, so I'm having way too much fun with the delete button. JUST name and number. Want a conversation? ICQ me :) Not in the emails. Keep it pure. Keep it simple. New sheriff in town.. and his name is redium. Keep it real.. right on.

Yup, yup and then yup again

Found the main page error and that's fine and dandy now. Seems to be that I had an older copy of the page. Anyway, congratulations to the horrid Canadians on their victory. I added some more ICQ's and have gotten the first of the screen shots. They look pretty good and hopefully I'll be able to post them in an hour or so after I thumbnail them.

Did You Miss It?

If you missed the Canada vs USA match last night, I have a good surprise for you...

As the game was happening, I took about 9 minutes of motion capture, and I cut that down to about 4 minutes of action and fun from last night. If you want to download it, there are two versions.

The movie runs for about 5 minutes and you can get them in the following formats:

ASF - 1.81mb / 176x144

RAM - 7.78mb / 320x240

*NOTE: In order to view the RAM file, you must have the latest version of Real Player G2. Also, I highly recommend the RM version (better quality and sound).

8025 Updates Poll and QOTW
07:22 PST |
Georgia

I looked at the board this morning and found that people are posting news from 8025's updates there. Instead of forcing such a great fansite of Infantry to announce updates there, I thought I would post a shout-out for them here.

8025 has updated their polls and the "QOTW" (question of the week). Go There to check it out!!!

In other news, I have received word and have seen for myself that Netscape isn't allowing users to view the main page. This is a table tag problem, but I am personally unable to help fix this, because I do not have access to IZone through FTP. I ask that you please be patient and give into the evil that is Internet Explorer until we have resolved this problem. Thank you.

Canada vs USA Results
21:20 PST |
VectorBoy

Canada.. was the victor in this matchup, this whole event was a result of the 'cold hard truth' post started originally by redium, and continued by me (both of the iZone staff). Captain Harloch over at nmebase decided to make this an event, so it happened. Tonight.

These are the scores after the 3 hour game.

Canadian Total: 71
American Total: 35

Difference: 36
Winner: Canada

So there you have it, Canada is far supreme than the United States when it comes down to infantry (me being Canadian of course).

A summary of the game can be seen over at 8025.

and NMEBASE has all the post-game details for you to look at.

Definately a great game, and one to remember for a long, long time.

Day after Thanksgiving is here for all us Americans. Let us shun the Canadians! ... Okay. Added more ICQ's, but haven't seen a single screenshot yet. Let me encourage you again and again to send those to me if you've got some memorable ones. In addition, if you're still having trouble with assorted stuff you can always email me with your given situation and I'll give it the college try.

Some updated stuff
16:45 PST |
rediumPro

Added some new ICQ numbers today. I'd like to say that when you email your information to me, make sure to include both your handle and ICQ, not just your ICQ number. In addition, if you've got any memorable moments that you grabbed a screenshot of by pressing print screen or whatever, feel free to mail them to me with a reference to a screenshot in your subject text. Don't bother zipping them up, but don't send me 20mb files :)

Revamps en route
19:56 PST |
rediumPro

Starting from now, an IZone revamp is in the near future with new information and current, updated sections to make IZone your only source for news. In regard to the lack of a site to download from without an additional 10 mb worth of stuff, I've uploaded a current copy of Infantry to this location. Testing is going very well and as JeffP has pointed out, we're all very happy with the progress of the game. It's got a huge amount of fun gameplay and I'm very pleased with what I see. Dev comments are great and keep them coming. If you've got any questions about the game or what to do, you can always email me, VectorBoy, or Yazour.

If you've got questions about gameplay that you just can't find an answer for, Pet Virus has written an enormous outline of the entire game at this location: www.betz.com/pv. Very impressive amount of information that is a great guide for vets and newbies alike.

We've got lots of great well developed Infantry fan sites now too! Just to mention a few there is 8025: Spec Freq run by pv and Yazour, nmebase, plus some great squads including Spec Ops and Fusion!

Remember to send in your ICQ's to IZone so all of your Infantry buddies can track you down with more ease. This has been my first post in a while due to the news poster being non-functional. Remember to set your server directory to "directory.harmlessgames.com" without the quotes. And also, remember never to miss Vb's great LiveCast.. or else! :)
