Feedback welcome MacFixIt welcomes any and all feedback. We especially encourage questions, tips, hints, rumors or anything else that could conceivably lead to an item for the Late-Breakers page. We are also happy to hear any compliments, complaints, corrections or clarifications about the site or any material that appears on it. Feedback guidelines When you send feedback, it would be helpful if you include the following information in the body of the message:
If appropriate for the subject of your message, also include:
Will your name appear on the Late-Breakers page? If we decide to include material from your letter on the Late-Breakers page, we may use direct quotes from your letter. We will also typically include your name as the source of the material. If you have any objection to this (such as a desire to remain anonymous when sending confidential information), please use the "confidential" email address and/or state your wishes in the message. Otherwise, we will assume there is no objection. Will you get an answer to your message? We read every message received. But, due to the large volume of mail received, we can no longer personally answer each message. However, in most cases, you should get an automated reply acknowledging receipt of your message and offering more information. If we send a further reply, it will typically arrive within another 1-5 days. Whether or not a further reply is sent, your information may still wind up on the Late-Breakers page. What about tech support questions? Please understand that the primary purpose of MacFixIt is to post items of interest to the Late-Breakers page. It is not for asking and answering individual requests for help. Instead, we strongly encourage you to post your questions to the MacFixIt Forums. Also, if you have not already done so, check the Late-Breakers Archives and MacFixIt Reports sections (ideally by using Search MacFixIt). You may find that the answer you seek is already here. Otherwise, check out the options mentioned on MacFixIt Troubleshooting Links. However, as time permits, we may respond to tech support email. Once again, if you do not get an answer within 5 days, chances are you won't get one at all. |
