About This Service

Welcome to the Southwestern Bell Wireless Messaging Center where you can conveniently communicate with your colleagues and friends who subscribe to our Digital Edge Messaging Services. You can send personalized text messages to your colleagues anywhere in the Southwestern Bell Digital PCS broadcast range using this Messaging Center.

• Send a Message allows you to send a text message directly to the wireless phone of a Southwestern Bell Digital Edge Messaging customer.
• Create an Account allows you to quickly and easily set up your your personal profile and create group lists. The account is optional, but frequent users will find it makes sending messages easier and more convenient.
• Use my Account allows you to access your personal profile and group lists for sending messages, or to make changes.
• Check Message Status enables you to check on whether your message was delivered or is enroute.
• Link us into your Home Page creates sample text to be included in your own home page for sending messages to your cellular phone.
• About provides an overview of the messaging service.

The Send a Message form includes some handy features. You can include your callback phone number to make it easier for the message recipient to call you. You can also send the message immediately or schedule it to be sent in the future.

Using the Create an Account form, you can create your own personal account profile and then use it to send a message. The account is optional, but frequent users will find it makes sending messages easier and more convenient.

You can use and update your own account profile by selecting Use my Account. Your account profile stores your frequent call back numbers (for example, work, wireless and home phone numbers), and your name for your message "signature". Best of all, you can build group lists of your colleages' and friends' wireless phone numbers. With these lists you can send the same message to a group of people all at once!

You can check on the status of a sent message by selecting Check Message Status. After accepting your message, the Center assigns a Message ID number. You can bookmark or write down the ID number to check the status of the transmission later. Using this feature, the system tells you whether your message was delivered to the person you were trying to reach.

The Link us to your Home Page makes it easier for people to send you messages. Tell us your mobile number and we'll even give you the text to put in your own web page to link to the "Send a Message" page with your mobile phone number already filled in.
