Only 17 miles northeast of Seattle, Redmond is nestled among fir trees, with a majestic backdrop of the Cascade Mountains to the east and the Olympic Mountains to the west.

What's in Redmond?
Redmond is located in King County and has a population of approximately 40,000, according to the Redmond Chamber of Commerce*. And although Redmond is known as the bicycle capital of the Northwest, its biggest claim to fame is the fact that it's the home of Microsoft's headquarters.

What Does Microsoft Do in Redmond?
Microsoft's central headquarters in Redmond is home to almost every product group and division, including worldwide operations, sales and support, technical support, and Microsoft Research. Also located in Redmond is the nearby RedWest campus, which houses the development site for consumer products like games and online finance.
