Objective: My career thus far, both academic and professionally, has been driven by my desire to try to learn as much about every piece of technology that I possibly can. It has driven me to purchase and explore every exotic piece of hardware and software that I could find, take it apart, learn how it works, and make it work better. This drive has helped me get a wide variety of experiences in school, from taking a wide variety of courses on topics such as Telecommunications Law, Physics, Abstact Algebra to The History of Film and Documentary. In my personal life it means that I have bought and networked a huge variety of hardware, for example, NeXT Workstation and Cubes, Sun boxes, Silicon Graphics Irix and Indy's. When I had to play with more domestic hardware, I would exploring the usage of alternative Operating Systems such as Linux, the BSD's and BeOS. In my professional life I spent my college years trying to get as wide a variety of experiences as I could, taking jobs with large organizations (Microsoft Corporation, Apple Computer, Storage Technologies) as well as small (Polyphasic, Telecorp Products) and even having experience with educators (Michigan State University College of Education, Oakland Schools). All this leads to my goal: to work with technology on a daily basis, confront difficult issues, and solve them. I have the ability to get up to speed on a topic quickly, go into a situation, make assessments, and provide solutions.

Work Experience

Software Developer, Telecorp Products, Walled Lake, MI
June, 2000 to present

Worked with a teammate to impliment a company-wide software tracking program. Initally designed to be a system to handle bug requests on software released, it has since grown into a bug report, feature request, general inquiry and basic HR system. Full set of reports, with multiple historical views of data within the database. All information is stored and can be displayed in a multitude of ways. Implimented with ASP and HTML on IIS 4&5 on Windows NT 4 Server & Windows 2000 accessing a Pervasive Database through a ODBC Connection. A thorough description and pictures of program available upon request.
Created web based reporting to compliment existing reporting package. Essentially, I was given an executable that created reports from a SQL database, and was told to create a Browser based equivalent of this program. Multiple data sources, all accumulated and displayed in a Crystal Report inside the users browser. Again, a description and pictures of functioning unit are available upon request.

Systems Administrator Intern, Storage Technologies, Ann Arbor, MI
March, 1999 to July, 1999

Design and implementation of a mixed Operating System Environment - SunOS, Solaris, Linux and Windows NT.
Maintenance of user accounts and daily administrative duties.
Supporting the needs of 40 clients connecting to 5 different servers, both Solaris and Windows NT.
Creation and maintenance of a corporate intranet containing all development documentation for the REEL Software project.

Collaborate with Administration, Faculty, and Students of Michigan State University to promote Windows NT and the Microsoft Development Tools.
Multimedia demos to Students and Faculty on campus.
