Pokemon Game Boy Special Edition
Check out Nintendo's latest special edition Game Boy, starring everyone's favorite monsters.
July 16, 1999
Pokemon fans will be happy to hear that a limited edition Pokemon Game Boy Color hits US store shelves on October 25, 1999.
The US version of the special Game Boy Color unit is yellow and blue with green and red buttons and a blue D-Pad (a similar GBC was released in Japan with a slightly different color scheme). The casing will be the same as the regular Game Boy Color, but with the Pokemon logo, Pokemon characters and a Pokeball power light on the front.
In addition to the special Game Boy Color unit, the package will be bundled with the latest installment in the Pokemon series, Pokemon Yellow.
The limited edition box set retails for $109.95.
