Mac Version Available - 11:35AM - Jon Aycan
If you're a Macintosh user, and a fan of the SimCity series, you will be extremely glad to hear this news. The Macintosh version of SimCity 3000 has finally been released and is in stores. Before buying you may wish to take a look at our updated System Requirements page. You can purchase it at your local computer store, or order directly through us and our Chips & Bits affiliate. Soundtrack Available - 11:25AM - Jon Aycan
Maxis has now released the official SimCity 3000 Soundtrack on CD-ROM, containing 10 audio tracks from SC3000. It totals out to be over 50 minutes in length, and is available only directly through Maxis EA Store for only $9.95. For more information see the Spotlight at SimCity.com.

Items got in out way of updating which were beyond our control, but now that those items are cleared up we should be back on our regular schedule. BAT International - 1:10AM - Jon Aycan
Now that Building Architect Tool is available for the english versions of SimCity 3000, Maxis has been at work to make releases for the other versions. Well, they have now made available BAT for the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Spain/Brazil, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish versions of SC3000. BAT Now Available! - 1:15AM - Jon Aycan
Maxis has finally and officially made available and released the SimCity 3000 Building Architect Tool (BAT), which allows you to construct new SC3000 buildings for use in your cities! Currently, only the English version is available, but international versions are expected shortly. The file is a reasonable 9.41MB, and is available from both the Electronic Arts and GameStats websites. Click a link below to download, or follow this link for the BAT FAQ.

Maxis has recently posted a new page over at SimCity.com stating some basic information about the Macintosh version of SimCity 3000. System requirements and recommendations are included, so Mac users be sure to check it out.

SC3000 Hits A Million - 8:15PM - Jon Aycan
According to a news piece over at C|Net's GameCenter, Electronic Arts has shipped the milionth copy of SimCity 3000, and less six months after the game's release! Also in the piece is some new information for Macintosh users. The Mac version is scheduled for release sometime this summer. It will require a 180MHz PowerPC processor with 32MB of RAM, and will work fine on the iMac and Power Macintosh G3.
