You go, girl! Spider-Girl's antics against the rubbery Mr. Abnormal have earned her a top spot in this week's comics.

IGN Sci-Fi's Comic Review Index
Spider-Man, X-Men: The Hidden Years, Thor, Crimson, Spider-Girl and more this week.
October 15, 1999
Welcome to IGN Sci-Fi's weekly comics review section. We know you love your comics, but you know and we know that 80% of all comics are really, really bad. So, as a service to comic fans, we'll be reviewing the best and the worst the industry has to offer. Not only do you get helpful reviews, but you can also view higher-resolution cover images to see if the art's up to your standards.
This is a brand new section, and we'll be tweaking it a little in the coming weeks, but for the most part, here's how it works:
- The Index is updated weekly.
- Clicking on cover images or issue links will take you to the review.
- Clicking on the cover images in the review will give you a larger cover image.
- Comic ratings come in three flavors:
- Buy it! -- a great comic and a great addition to your collection.
- Borrow it! -- Could be good, could be bad. Borrow it from a friend who spent the money or sneak a read at the comic store.
- Bury it! -- Bleagh! A steaming pile of yak dung. Putting it six feet under is a mercy.
On to the reviews:
