Our History Our Softshoe technology was first created in 1995 to meet the recruiting management needs of one of New York's leading high-technology recruiting agencies. We built the system only after searching through all available applicant tracking software solutions, and finding that all products lacked the appropriate features and flexibility of a web architecture. Following the installation of our technology, the staffing agency expanded from an annual growth rate of 20% to greater than 100%. In 1996, Softshoe was installed as the technology powering HotJobs.com. Now used by thousands of recruiters in more than 1,200 companies around the world, hotjobs.com is the world's leading, fully interactive commercial recruiting system. The feedback we've gathered from this extensive client network has been invaluable to the successful evolution of Softshoe as a comprehensive yet usable recruiting solution. In 1997, Softshoe Enterprise was installed at Lucent Technologies. With over 500 recruiters already using the system, Lucent is currently rolling the application out globally in the largest implementation of a recruiting application ever. In 1998, Softshoe won PC Week's award at Comdex (the world's largest technology conference) for Best Network/Internet Software, becoming the only HR software to ever attain this honor. Softshoe was also recently presented with HR Executive's product of the year award for its contribution to the field of Human Resources.
