Open Source on the Desktop

The AbiSource project is developing a suite of Open Source desktop productivity applications. Our first application is underway and it is a word processor called AbiWord. AbiWord is available for all to use, free of charge.

  • 28 January 1999 -- Did Microsoft's Paul Maritz, senior vice-president of platforms and applications, endorse AbiSource? He said that we are developing a "very high-quality word processor", and he said it under oath, so it must be true! ;-)
