Unable to Upload Files to a Web Server Using SOCKS Gateway With CyberStudio or GoLive

Issue

You are unable to upload files to a Web server that uses a SOCKS gateway with GoLive CyberStudio 3.x or Adobe GoLive 4.x (e.g., CyberStudio or GoLive returns an error or doesn't upload the files to the server).

Solution

Use a third-party FTP utility that supports SOCKS gateways (e.g., Fetch) to upload files.

Additional Information

SOCKS is a protocol for handling FTP requests through a proxy server. CyberStudio and GoLive cannot upload files to a Web server that uses a SOCKS gateway.
