In this guide, they show you the step-by-step installation of a Peltier on to the Alpha PEP66 heat sink fan. Here's a snip from the guide:
"In the Xtreme Need For Speed (MHz), overclockers will first change their processor's stock heat sink fan (hsf) to a bigger heat sink fan like the Alpha to get a lower temperature. How to get a higher speed? By Overclocking them of course. Overclocking can destroy your CPU and will void your warranty. Overclocking is where you change the Front Side Bus (FSB) to a higher one, like from 100mhz to 112mhz. That is why it's simple to overclock ;)"
"The Alpha PEP66 is the best hsf for the FCPGA processors. Adding a 70W peltier to the Alpha PEP66, you will be surprise with what you get! You will get a cooler processor and a more overclockable processor. I would recommend this HSF to be used together with a peltier. But always remember, Overclocking and Peltier is for the Xtreme only!"

Duron's Can Be Easily Damaged If You're Not Careful

Tweak Town has information on the AMD Duron rumors going around. A lot of people have been hearing that Duron's have been mysteriously getting damaged even when treated with the utmost care. Tweak Town believes that there is not enough sealent around the core of the Duron processor which makes it susceptable to being damaged from the pressure of the heatsink. I want to take a moment to warn all Voodoo3 users NOT to flash your Voodoo3 graphics cards. Unless you are having some kind of extreme motherboard incompatibility problem, flashing your Voodoo3's bios is not worth it and can actually cause your Voodoo3 to be rendered inoperable. I have read posts on newsgroups about people ruining their Voodoo3's by flashing the bios, and since the warrenty is void after you flash the bios you are stuck with a dead graphics card. Another reason you should not flash the bios of your Voodoo3 is because there will be absolutely no performance difference! The CONS definitely outweigh the PROS and so I recommend that you do NOT flash your Voodoo3. Instead you might want to check to see if you are up to date with your Voodoo3 drivers as this will change performance and stability.
SIS has released a list of motherboard manufacturers that will be using the upcoming SIS 730S Socket A chipset. There is overwhelming motherboard support for this chipset unlike early AMD Irongate support. Most of the motherboard manufacturers are Taiwanese based also.
