The linux.org domain was registered in May, 1994 by Michael McLagan to fill a gap in the growing Linux movement. Designed to act as a central clearing house for information and promotion of Linux, we endeavour to represent the hard work of everyone involved with this operating system. Operating as a not-for-profit business (not a registered non-profit corp), Linux Online is located in Laurel, Maryland, USA.

Find out more about our goals from our mission statement. Take advantage of the services we offer to the community. Bringing a large web site such as Linux Online to the public requires some of the newest PC systems available today.
