for Unicode (ICU)
Unicode is the universal character set that's the foundation for modern software internationalization. The IBM Classes for Unicode (ICU) is a set of C and C++ APIs that make it easy to add Unicode-based international support to an application. ICU runs on a wide variety of platforms, including Linux, AIX, HP/UX, OS/2, OS/390, Windows™, and Solaris.

| Jikes
Jikes is a Java™ source-to-bytecode compiler that features strict conformance to the language specification and
extremely fast compile speed. It supports industry-standard options, and can be used with 1.1-level JDKs or the JDK for Java2. The project provides current and stable versions, with prebuilt binaries for AIX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows, and maintains a list of known ports and redistributions. |

| SNMP Java Beans
The SNMP Bean Suite contains two beans: SNMP Protocol Bean, which implements the SNMP protocol function, and the SNMP UI Bean, which provides function for accepting user input. The beans make network management easier by filling the gap between SNMP-based management and web-based presentation technologies. The source is currently available on alphaWorks and will soon be available on developerWorks.

| Open Visualization Data Explorer
The Open Visualization Data Explorer, from the IBM Deep Computing Institute, is used to analyze and create visual representations of data. Data Explorer runs on Unix platforms, Linux, and Windows. The open-source distribution is currently available from IBM Research and will soon be available on developerWorks.
