Tom is a senior-level
software developer specializing in "n-tier" client/server
development for Windows NT.
His strengths are the analysis and design of
large, complex multi-component systems using DNA
technologies such as MSDTC, DCOM, MTS and MSMQ.
In addition, he has spent many years developing
software utilizing Visual C++, COM (and COM+) and
DCOM and ODBC.
Aside from his development responsibilities, Tom
has also written several books on Visual C++ as well as
a best selling book on Visual InterDev. He is currently
at work on a DNA 2000 book to be released in March of 2000.

Chris has worked as an analyst/programmer/consultant in the computer
industry for nearly 12 years. He specialises in designing and developing
workflow solutions for companies utilizing technologies such as VB, SQL
Server, Oracle, Java, XML and C++. His interests include guitar playing,
walking and camping.

Essam lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and
is a software engineer with a large
multi-national corporation. His skills include
VC++, VB, Java, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, ASP,
MS SQL Server, ODBC, ADO, D[COM], ATL, XML, etc.
Not focused only on coding, Essam usually designs
complete systems from the ground-up, handling
activities such as requirements gathering,
prototyping, documentation, integration,
marketing, and other business-related issues.
With a variety of interests, including writing,
(listening to and studying) classical music, and
reading (primarily autobiographies, biographies,
and technical materials), Essam spends most of
his freetime with his wife and two young sons. |
Rick Leinecker

Rick has held a number of positions including Director of Programming
and online services at COMPUTE Publications; Senior Programmer and later
Director of Technology at IntraCorp, Inc.; Senior Software Engineer at
MCI’s Digital Imaging Division; Senior Software Engineer at Landmark
Communications; and professor of Computer Science at Rockingham
Community College.
He’s also written over a dozen programming books and over a hundred
magazine articles in publications such as COMPUTE, Dr. Dobbs, and Byte.
Some of his software can be found on the shelves of retail outlets such
as CompuUSA and include Championship Chess and Bicycle Bridge.
When he's not writing software or books he's probably rollerblading with
his children, singing in a contemporary Christian group named Gentle
Healer, or acting as musical director for the Rockingham County Theater
Guild.
