Pokémon Snap: Item List

In the game of Pokémon Snap, there are many tools to use at your disposal, all of which are helpful. This section will describe in detail all the items, as well as their functions.

Pokémon Food: Throw food at Pokémon and watch their reactions. Some will happily eat the food. Usually, the Pokémon that eat food also follow food should you throw it. This can be useful at times. For example, in the Beach stage, you can lure Pikachu onto the surf board, providing for entertaining, valuable photos.

Pester Balls: Pester balls contain bug-repellent spray within them, and this can help force Pokémon out of hiding. A prime example is on the River stage. If you throw a pester ball into the logs near the beginning, a bulbasaur will run out. Also, pester balls can be used to force evolution. If you hit a Grimer three times with one, it will evolve into a Muk. You can also throw pester balls to knock Pokémon into pools. If you hit a charmeleon with one, and it falls into a lava pool, it will evolve into a Charizard.

Poké Flute: The flute can be used to awaken sleeping Pokémon, like Snorlax, and make other Pokémon dance. A picture of dancing Graveler or Meowth provides a high score.
