Pokémon Yellow: General Info

Pokémon Yellow is the follow-up title to Nintendo's successful Pokémon game, launched in October or 1998 is red and blue formats. The yellow title has a different set of Pokémon, and is based further upon the television show. For example, Team Rocket, the game's villains, go by the names Jesse and James, the star villains of the television show. In the yellow game, Pikachu also follows the main character around, as in the television show.

Pokémon Yellow has also been released along side a special edition of Nintendo's popular Game Boy Color system. The new Game Boy Color is the same as other models, except it is yellow, like Pikachu, and has pokémon placed on the casing.
