Even when Tim Burton does a period piece, he's just gotta be slightly weird.

In Sleepy Hollow, Tim Burton delivers plenty of pretty pictures, but not enough head.
December 1, 1999
Whatever else you might think about his movies, you have to agree Tim Burton makes some of the best-looking movies in existence. Whether it's stop-motion animation (Nightmare Before Christmas) or comic-book superheroing (Batman), his films are perfect products of his unique, off-kilter vision.
His latest work, coming this November, retells Washington Irving's classic folktale of Sleepy Hollow, and while the characters may have the same names, New England has never looked this good, or so scary. This is Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow. Its fields are green and gold, its forests are bare, the graveyards are crowded, and there's one tree that's scarier than half the movie monsters in existence.
Since Halloween's coming up fast, we thought Sleepy Hollow desktops would be perfect. Check 'em out and remember, don't go riding after dark.
