We think Unicron's the biggest transforming robot in cartoon history. Heck, even anime don't make 'em this big!

TV/CARTOONS: You Got the Touch!
Who remembers Transformers: The Movie?
November 24, 1999
Back in the 80s, aside from The Little Mermaid, there were only two cartoon movies of note: Heavy Metal and Transformers: The Movie. Of the two, Transformers were cooler, if only because kids got to see their robotic heroes kill, be killed, and even swear.
Although it looks really dated today, Transformers: The Movie was pretty good for the time, introducing an entire new generation of Transformers, a robot planet-eater, and The Matrix -- a device capable of creating new Transformers. It had a surprisingly star-studded cast, including the likes of Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, Judd Nelson, Robert Stack, and Casey Kasem. Aside from the ultra-cheesy metal soundtrack, it still holds up a lot of the animation you see on TV these days.
Anyway, Sunbow Productions re-released the movie back in 1995, and we just picked up a copy the other day and got all nostalgic. If you're nostalgic, too, we've got a little clip for you. Check it out!
