Woman's home a shrine to Clinton's catCHARLOTTE, North Carolina (AP) -- When the Clintons leave the White House in January, Socks the Cat will go with them. And a North Carolina woman will probably have to find a new hobby. Sandi Langdon of Charlotte has a collection of Socks the Cat memorabilia. It's so complete that the president of the First Cat's official fan club calls it one of the largest in the country. Langdon's home is a shrine to Socks. Pictures and paintings of the cat hang in the hallways. There's a Socks-patterned shower curtain hanging in her bathroom, and a wooden china cabinet is stuffed with her most prized Socks souvenirs. Her collection includes some rare souvenirs of the first feline, as well as her favorite keepsake -- an Easter egg "pawtographed" by Socks. Copyright 2000 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
