Online Play

To play Magic: The Gathering online, you will need to download a software package called Apprentice, which you can get by visiting DragonStudios.com. Apprentice is a 32-bit Windows program that simulates a table top, next to which is displayed a listing of cards in your hand. The program contains a database of every card printed, so you can construct decks of any type or format. Playing with another player is done by establishing an IP connection with another user.

NetDraft is another program made by DragonStudios that simulates booster and rochester drafting over the internet. Gather up some friends, have someone host a draft, and everyone connects to that person to form a draft pod and begin drafting. Decks drafted are able to be loaded straight into Apprentice for online play.

The best place to find players online is on the NetDraft.

#e-league - Channel for help/assistance in getting started. These channels may be accessed by downloading a program that connects to IRC, such as mIRC, or you can use our Java Chat to connect. We highly recommend mIRC as it has much more functionality than the Java Chat client.
