GA-RPG Weekly Column: RPG Mythology, Issue #16/99 (1:18 pm)
This week Greg Zeschuk, joint-CEO's and co-Executive Producer of
BioWare, discusses a very important topic which is so easily ignored
by so many: Quality Assurance. After reading this issue, and without
sounding like I am trying to "keep on Greg's right side" if you know
what I mean, I once again have to state in public: BioWare is one
GREAT company. Here is a quote:
"Unfortunately, it is relatively easy to release a game earlier
than appropriate , without adequate testing, and then to patch it
after fact. I suspect that some companies actually think that this
is a valid practice. Why pay for all that testing when you can
release your game and let the entire world test it? My most
frustrating RPG experience is run up against a key quest that can't
be finished and then be required to wait until a patch is made to
finish the game."
Check out this week's issue of RPG Mythology right over here. Enjoy!
