JPython

Welcome to the JPython homepage. JPython is an implementation of the high-level, dynamic, object-oriented language Python written in 100% Pure Java (certified), and seamlessly integrated with the Java platform. It thus allows you to run Python on any Java platform.

For more information on JPython, its features and details on its Java integration, please read the introduction What is JPython?. The JPython documentation is available on-line, as is the JPython FAQ.

The latest stable and development releases of JPython are available on the download page. If you have a Java 1.1 compliant Web browser, you can view some JPython demonstration applets.

JPython is supported by the same Python Software Activity (PSA) that CPython is supported by. I encourage you to check out the PSA... and hopefully join!
