Library Index Library Description The OMG Presentation Library is a program
now available to OMG members and non-members alike. As part of
our ongoing effort to promote the theory and practice of object
technology, we have created a base library of scripted
presentations on the Object Management Group, Object Technology,
and CORBA. All of these presentations follow a standard template
and may be customized or mix-and-matched to suit a variety of
audiences. Library DevelopmentWe intend the OMG Presentation Library to continuously evolve by adding new and updated presenations from OMG staff members, and through OMG member participation. When submitting a presentation to the library, keep in mind that it may be shared by other OMG readers. The information should not have any confidentiality restrictions. Below are several topic suggestions for presentations we'd like contributed. Other presentations are welcome.
How to Contribute Presentations submitted to the OMG Presentation Library must be Microsoft Powerpoint version 4.0 (or higher) format and scripted. For our files, a hardcopy, along with a one-paragraph content abstract, a brief intended audience description, and date of latest revision should be sent to, OMG, 492 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA 01701 USA. The electronic version may be supplied on DOS diskette, or by sending a pointer to your file for retrieval via FTP. OMG reserves the right to refuse any presenations which we feel are inconsistent with the organizations goals and objectives. Questions, comments or suggestions regarding the OMG Presentation Library may be sent to via Email: info@omg.org. OMG Presentation Library Index The library is always under some construction, but please feel free to browse at what we've gathered together so far!! The OMG Presentation Library is a series of slide presentations on the Object Management Group, Object Technology, and CORBA. Due to the large size of these PowerPoint (.ppt) files, they will need to be downloaded and saved to disk. Some of the files in the OMG Presentation Library have been compressed for your downloading convenience, and will need to be uncompressed before you can use them. Files ending in .zip have been compressed using the DOS PKZIP program. Please note that there is also a Postscript (.ps) version available as well for printing out only!
